Commonly Asked Questions.

What if you are not an In-Network Provider for my insurance?

  • Contact your insurance company and ask if our providers are out-of-network.

  • If we are considered out-of-network, you will be expected to pay the full fee for your appointment at the time of service. You will receive a receipt and can submit the receipt to your insurance provider. Your insurance company may partially reimburse our services, but we cannot guarantee reimbursements.

  • We will provide a receipt for your services, if requested, to submit to your Health Savings Account (HSA).

How do I find out if my insurance covers services?

  • We highly recommend you reach out to your insurance company to see if we are preferred providers.

  • Here are questions you can ask:

    • Do I have coverage for outpatient mental health counseling?

    • What is my deductible and co-pay?

    • What percentage of mental health counseling fees are covered?

    • Do my benefits cover only in-network providers, or do I also have out-of-network benefits?

    • If using out-of-network benefits: What percentage will I be reimbursed and what is my “allowed amount”?

Late Cancellation &
No Show Policy.

Please know that when we make appointments, we reserve this time for you. Out of courtesy for our providers and other clients at the clinic, we ask that you provide us a 24-hour notice so we are able to offer the time to others if you are unable to attend.

If you do not provide a 24-hour notice, you will be billed directly based on your provider’s cancellation fee, or according to the rules of your insurance plan, unless we both agree that the cancellation was unavoidable. This will be at the discretion of your provider.

Cancellation fees are due prior to your next appointment.

Please remember, if you do not attend your appointment as schedule, the hour is not usable by others and affects your provider’s schedule as well.

As providers, we understand that both parties may have unavoidable events that occur and prevent us from providing a 24-hour notice. We ask that you stay home if you have a fever, contagious disease, or COVID-19. Additionally, please stay home if any of your family members have COVID-19, or if you and/or your family members have been exposed to COVID-19 two weeks prior to your session.

Three consecutive late cancellations and/or no shows will result in discontinuation of services.
