Prolonged Exposure is an intervention strategy that helps individuals gradually approach their trauma-related memories, feelings, and situations. Prolonged Exposure focuses on decreasing the intensity of fear through in-vivo and imaginal exposure, allowing the individual to learn that trauma-related memories and cues are not dangerous and do not need to be avoided.

Eye-Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy

EMDR therapy focuses on decreasing distress related to past traumatic memories and events. The goal is to relieve emotions and urges triggered by past events and enhance adaptive thoughts about oneself. Increased adaptive thoughts allow for improved self-awareness and self-esteem. EMDR therapy has been found effective for overcoming many challenges.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)

ART is a brief, evidence-based therapy approach that helps individuals process and resolve distressing memories, emotions, and experiences. Using guided imagery and specific eye movements, ART can help reduce the emotional impact of difficult experiences while promoting a greater sense of calm, clarity, and control. It may be helpful for trauma, anxiety, grief, phobias, and other distressing life experiences.

Sand Tray Therapy

Sand Tray Therapy is a creative, hands-on therapeutic approach that allows clients to express thoughts, feelings, and experiences through the use of miniature figures and a tray of sand. This approach can be especially helpful for children and individuals who may find it difficult to express their experiences through words alone. Through creating and exploring sand scenes, clients can gain insight, process emotions, and develop new perspectives in a safe and supportive environment.
