Licensed Acupuncturist
Individual Acupuncture and Cupping
I am an acupuncturist and herbalist licensed in the state of Minnesota and nationally accredited with the NCCAOM. I practice all areas of Chinese medicine including acupuncture, herbal medicine, cupping, gua sha, electrical stimulation, lifestyle counseling, tui na and moxibustion. With over 20 years in the holistic health field, I started my journey working as a massage therapist in 2002. I loved being a massage therapist but always had the yearning to learn Chinese medicine. I grew up around acupuncture and saw the healing it encouraged firsthand. I finally took the plunge and received my master's degree in Chinese medicine in 2017.
Acupuncture works to gently realign the body’s systems so they can return to a more balanced state. It is one of the oldest medicines but is still effective and complimentary to today’s modern world. Acupuncture and Chinese medicine treats the whole person and works great when combined with other treatments. It affects the endocrine system, nervous system and fascial system allowing healing on all levels. It can be used to address all kinds of concerns from pain to digestive issues, troubles with sleep, to immune function, allergies, colds and flus, skin issues and mental health.
I have additional training in treating mental and emotional health as well as women's health. My specific areas of interest are stress, anxiety, depression, grief, post-traumatic stress syndrome, perimenopause and menopause. I have worked with clients of all ages and from all of different backgrounds. I welcome everyone with open arms and am passionate about serving my community. I believe that health is a lifelong journey, and I am here to support my clients wherever they are in that journey. There is no separation between mental, emotional, spiritual or physical health in Chinese medicine. I treat each person by looking at their unique and full story, and tailor each treatment to meet my clients' needs and where they are in that moment.
I live in the Twin Cities with my loving husband and our four fur babies, Sunny, Butch, Sophie and Ziggy. I love music, art, travel and being in nature.
